Nettle is a genus of plants, including the common nettle and the small nettle, found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. Nettle supports liver and kidney function by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports bladder health and promotes hair growth in dogs. Nettle also contains silicic acid, also known as silicon. This is a building block that forms part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin cells and helps maintain healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as to preventing digestive and/or urination problems.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Smaller varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, the American government decided that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering tomatoes as a vegetable. Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving tomatoes their red color, it's also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and cardiovascular disease, among other things. Tomatoes also contain high levels of vitamin C, vitamins A, and B complex vitamins, which can contribute to healthy skin and a stronger immune system.

Banana The banana plant grows in tropical regions where temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There are even indications that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea approximately 7,000 years ago. The name derives from the word "banaana" in the language of the Wolof people.
Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Switching advice If you're switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. First, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Your dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It's important to let your dog get used to this for two or three days as well. Then, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Continue this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog for Miniature or Toy Poodles at your own discretion.
Storage advice After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and flavor. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place the entire bag inside, sealing it as tightly as possible.

If you're switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. First, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Your dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It's important to let your dog get used to this for two or three days as well. Then, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Continue this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Papillon and Night Papillon dog food at your own discretion.
Storage advice After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and flavor. Glucosamine

Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older dogs or overweight dogs, but also increasingly for younger, very active dogs. This can be due, for example, to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
Chondroitin Chondroitin occurs naturally in the dog's body and is one of the most important components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which is thought to create a spongy, springy structure in the cartilage.
Chondroitin improves the flexibility of cartilage and also has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It also stimulates the production of the building blocks for healthy cartilage.
When combined with glucosamine, chondroitin supports and enhances the effects of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a nutritional supplement to people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.
