Pressed pellets are pellets with a very high nutritional value because, as the name suggests, they are pressed. These pressed pellets are all cold-pressed, and it's precisely because the process isn't excessively hot that they retain their high nutritional value and excellent intestinal absorption.
Pressed kibble is ideal for feeding in combination with fresh meat, as the digestion of pressed kibble and meat is almost identical. With this kibble, the meat can even be mixed in, if desired. Keep in mind, however, that once a dog gets used to having something under its kibble, it will most likely no longer want to eat kibble without meat.
These pressed chunks are suitable for dogs that are often fed meat, that have a sensitive gastrointestinal system, or that are allergic to certain grains such as wheat.
Gluten-free pressed pellets are highly digestible thanks to their excellent ingredients, and very little is required for feeding. You should weigh the pellets and not exceed the recommended feeding amount in the initial phase.
If you're switching from expanded pellets to pressed pellets, it's recommended to first use up the current pellets completely and then slowly introduce the pressed pellets. On the first day, give them 1/3 of their daily intake, on the second day, 2/3 of their daily intake. If this goes well, from day three onward, give them their normal portion as indicated in the feeding table. Be sure to weigh this pellet carefully, as it's naturally very heavy, making the amount seem smaller than it actually is!
Make sure your dog always has fresh drinking water available.
