Our ingredients
To make our food, we dry-cure 10.6 kg of meat for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to incorporate into our kibble. With the right amounts of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-raised, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh flavor and rich color, and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together give our kibble its delicious flavor and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry promote healthy muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide your dog with extra valuable nutrients, we've added super-healthy vegetables to our food. This means vegetables are not only nutritious but also offer other health benefits. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

The healthy herbs that enrich our food are derived from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweed, among other things, goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its beneficial properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, specific ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific ailments can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Butterfly Dog and Night Butterfly Dog specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Papillon and the Papillon. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Papillon and the Papillon belong. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Papillon and the Papillon.
Nettle
Nettle is a genus of plants, including the common nettle and the small nettle, found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very effective against infectious diseases. The leaves are also effective against diarrhea and other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports liver and kidney function by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports bladder health and promotes hair growth in dogs.
Nettle also contains silicic acid, also known as silicon. This is a building block that forms part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin cells and helps maintain healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as to preventing digestive and/or urination problems.
Basil
Basil is a genus in the Lamiaceae family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where Œbasileus means king; the alternative name is therefore "royal herb." It is native to Central Africa and Southeast Asia.
Traditional medicine used basil as a treatment for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and stomach aches, among other ailments. Research has shown that basil may have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, aid waste elimination, and have antispasmodic and calming effects on dogs.
Plums
The plum is a tree fruit in the rose family and falls into the drupe category. Plum trees are known for their beautiful spring blossoms, and the sweet, juicy fruit was eaten as early as Roman times.
Plums contain numerous healthy nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. For example, plums are rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C, and D, as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, and iron. Plums are also low in calories and known for their laxative effect.
Puppy, adult or senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Papillon and Nocturnal Papillon dog food options, you can use the following guidelines. If your Papillon and Nocturnal Papillon is under 11 months old, choose the Puppy option. For a Papillon and Nocturnal Papillon over 7 years old, we recommend Yourdog Papillon and Nocturnal Papillon Senior. If your dog is over 11 months old and under 7 years old, you can choose the Adult option.

Switching advice
If you're switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. First, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Your dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It's important to let your dog get used to this for two or three days as well. Then, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Continue this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Papillon and Night Papillon dog food at your own discretion.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and flavor. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place the entire bag inside, sealing it as tightly as possible.
