Our ingredients
To make our food, we dry-cure 10.6 kg of meat for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to incorporate into our kibble. With the right amounts of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-raised, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh flavor and rich color, and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together give our kibble its delicious flavor and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry promote healthy muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables To provide your dog with extra valuable nutrients, we've added super-healthy vegetables to our food. This means vegetables are not only nutritious but also offer other health benefits. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be beneficial for your dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath and healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health.
Spices The healthy herbs that enrich our food are derived from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweed, among other things, goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its beneficial properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, specific ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific ailments can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Chien français blanc et orange specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Chien français blanc et orange. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Chien français blanc et orange belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Chien français blanc et orange.
Basil
Basil is a genus in the Lamiaceae family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where "basileus" means "king," hence the alternative name "royal herb." It is native to Central Africa and Southeast Asia.
Traditional medicine used basil as a treatment for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and stomach aches, among other ailments. Research has shown that basil may have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, aid waste elimination, and have antispasmodic and calming effects on dogs.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant in the Apiaceae family and is recognizable by its aniseed flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains high levels of vitamin A and C, as well as the minerals iron and potassium.
We recommend adding fennel to dog food because it can support digestion and prevent bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Smaller varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, the American government decided that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering tomatoes as a vegetable. Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving tomatoes their red color, it's also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and cardiovascular disease, among other things. Tomatoes also contain high levels of vitamin C, vitamins A, and B complex vitamins, which can contribute to healthy skin and a stronger immune system.
Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they may contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular disease. They can also have a general cleansing effect on the body.

Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Continue this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Chien français blanc et orange dog food at your own discretion.

Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place the entire bag inside, sealing it as tightly as possible.

Miniature or Toy Poodle specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Miniature or Toy Poodle. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Miniature or Toy Poodle belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Miniature or Toy Poodle.
Nettle
Nettle is a genus of plants, including the common nettle and the small nettle, found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very effective against infectious diseases. The leaves are also effective against diarrhea and other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports liver and kidney function by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports bladder health and promotes hair growth in dogs. Nettle also contains silicic acid, also known as silicon. This is a building block that forms part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin cells and helps maintain healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as to preventing digestive and/or urination problems.
Banana The banana plant grows in tropical regions where temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There are even indications that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea approximately 7,000 years ago. The name derives from the word "banaana" in the language of the Wolof people.
Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant vitamin C can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, also known as folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. Furthermore, bananas contain a lot of good fiber and promote more beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
Puppy, adult or senior? To help you make the right choice between our Miniature or Toy Poodle dog food options, you can use the following guidelines. If your Miniature or Toy Poodle is under 11 months old, choose the Puppy option. For a Miniature or Toy Poodle over 7 years old, we recommend Yourdog Miniature or Toy Poodle Senior. If your dog is over 11 months old but under 7 years old, choose the Adult option.
Taste guarantee
We're confident in the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Miniature or Toy Poodle doesn't seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We'll help you analyze the problem. If we can't find a solution together, we'll refund your purchase price.

Switching advice If you're switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. First, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Your dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It's important to let your dog get used to this for two or three days as well. Then, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Continue this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog for Miniature or Toy Poodles at your own discretion.
Storage advice After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and flavor. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place the entire bag inside, sealing it as tightly as possible.

Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they may contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular disease. They can also have a general cleansing effect on the body.

King Poodle specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Standard Poodle. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Standard Poodle belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Standard Poodle.
Parsley
Parsley is a biennial, hardy herbaceous plant from the Apiaceae family. Parsley has been used medicinally for hundreds of years. There are dozens of illnesses that parsley combats. According to various sources, it cures, among other things, diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections. It is rich in iron, more so than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C, and carotene.
At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it could contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to blood, heart, and kidneys.
Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A, and K. These can support the immune system and eyes, and can support the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can act as a diuretic, keeping your dog's bladder free of debris.
Celery
Celery is a plant in the Apiaceae family. It's often found growing on wet ground along the coast.
Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and also contains plenty of folate and potassium. It's also fat-free, high in fiber, and very low in calories.
We add celery to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting your dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on their skin and coat, muscle and nerve function (via vitamin A), and maintaining strong bones (via vitamin K).
Apple
The apple tree is a tree in the Malus genus, which produces the eating apples, particularly common in the Northern Hemisphere. It grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fiber has a versatile effect in the digestive tract. It absorbs moisture, making stool soft and smooth. Dietary fiber also increases intestinal volume. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures thorough elimination of waste. Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. They're also rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the chunks, and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C supports muscle and bone development during early childhood.

After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Yorkshire Terrier dog food at your own discretion.

Swiss White Shepherd specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the White Swiss Shepherd. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the White Swiss Shepherd belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the White Swiss Shepherd.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid, and tendons. It stimulates the production of cartilage and keeps joints supple.
Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older dogs or overweight dogs, but also increasingly for younger, very active dogs. This can be due, for example, to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
Apple The apple tree is a tree in the Malus genus, which produces the eating apples, which are particularly common in the Northern Hemisphere.
Banana The banana plant grows in tropical regions where temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There are even indications that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea approximately 7,000 years ago. The name derives from the word Œbanaana in the language of the Wolof people.
To help you make the right choice between our Swiss White Shepherd dog food options, you can use the following guidelines. If your Swiss White Shepherd is under 11 months old, choose the Puppy option. For a Swiss White Shepherd over 7 years old, we recommend Yourdog Swiss White Shepherd Senior. Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus in the Asteraceae family. It is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning "ground apple" and refers to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
We can add chamomile to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation, and urinary tract. Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. It can also have a positive effect on dogs with nervous digestion, as it can have antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant in the heather family. In the Netherlands, it is primarily found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare elsewhere in the country. Originally from North America, the plant is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845. Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals like potassium, which helps maintain healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. They're also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, making the bladder environment less conducive to bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fiber in cranberries supports healthy digestion and helps dogs feel full longer.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could contribute positively to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, joints, bones, and nerve function, among other things.

Swedish Lapphund specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Swedish Lapphund. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Swedish Lapphund belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Swedish Lapphund.
Marigold
The marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the Asteraceae family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for centuries for its various medicinal properties. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is rarely found in the wild anymore. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients. There's a lot of information available about the positive effects of calendula. We recommend adding calendula to dog food because it can help prevent breed-specific problems related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. It's particularly beneficial for restoring skin and mucous membranes, has anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, and can prevent cramps during digestion.
Calendula is primarily used externally for skin conditions such as scratches and other skin problems. However, it can also be used internally for its regenerative properties.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant in the rose family and belongs to the Rubus genus. Raspberries have been cultivated since the Middle Ages and are native throughout Europe. Raspberries contain many nutrients that can support your dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in beneficial fiber.
Raspberry is added to our dog food for its anti-inflammatory properties and can contribute positively to immune system function. Raspberries can also help maintain vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Yorkshire Terrier Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Yorkshire Terrier. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Yorkshire Terrier belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Yorkshire Terrier.
Banana
The banana plant grows in tropical regions where temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There are even indications that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea approximately 7,000 years ago. The name derives from the word Œbanaana in the language of the Wolof people.

Root
The carrot as we know it today, also known as the orange carrot, is the result of many years of crossbreeding. The first white carrots originated in Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in the 17th century.
Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. For example, carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. This is important for building capillaries and maintaining the health of all cells. The fiber in carrots contributes to a dog's digestion. Furthermore, carrots are low in calories and good for their coat and skin.
At Yourdog, we add carrots to our dog food because they can help prevent breed-specific skin and coat issues. They also promote good vision and healthy digestion.

Switching advice
If you're switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog White German Shepherd dog food at your own discretion.

Our ingredients To make our food, we dry-cure 10.6 kg of meat for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to incorporate into our kibble.
Whippet specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We have carefully researched the Whippet's breed characteristics. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Whippet belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the Whippet's health and well-being.
Fenugreek
Like peas, fenugreek is a plant in the legume family. It is also called fenugreek or "Greek hay." It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.
Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. It contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. It also has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production. We can add fenugreek to your food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.
Tomato The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica.
Tomatoes also contain high levels of vitamin C, vitamins A, and B-complex vitamins, which can contribute to healthy skin and a stronger immune system.
Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they may contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular disease. They can also have a general cleansing effect on the body.
Puppy, adult or senior? To help you choose the right Whippet dog food, we've compiled the following guidelines. If your Whippet is under 11 months old, choose the Puppy variety. For a Whippet over 7 years old, we recommend Yourdog Whippet Senior. If your dog is over 11 months old and under 7 years old, choose the Adult variety.

Our ingredients To make our food, we dry-cure 10.6 kg of meat for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to incorporate into our kibble.
Westie specific vegetables, herbs and fruits We carefully researched the Westie's breed characteristics. We also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Westie belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we selected ingredients that optimally benefit the Westie's health and well-being.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree in the Malus genus, which produces the eating apples, which are particularly common in the Northern Hemisphere.

After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Westie dog food at your own discretion.

Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heather family and grow primarily in open woodlands in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they're rich in antioxidants, which protect the body from free radicals. They also contain fiber that aids digestion and is rich in vitamins C and K. This can support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.
Tomato The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica.
